WorkTime 4.15 database upgrade.
WorkTime 4.15 uses new database format (Firebird 2.1) with greatly improved performance.
WorkTime 4.15 currently supports older database (Firebird 1.5), but it's highly recommended to update as soon as possible.
If you are using WorkTime in client-server mode with Firebird server - at first read #2 below
#1. Upgrade WorkTime database
1. Close WorkTime!
2. Backup WorkTime database file: WT4.GDB
(usually located in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\NesterSoft\WorkTime\DB for XP or in C:\ProgramData\NesterSoft\WorkTime\DB for Vista. Also see Folders and Paths). You might need to manually enter "Application Data" (or "ProgramData") in your Address bar at the Windows Explorer

Download update archive
4. Unzip (preserving subfolders!) to the DB folder.
Batch file must be located in the same folder as WT4.GDB, and there are must be 2 subfolders as shown:
5. Run script db_upgrade.bat, (press Enter for if you use default database file name) and check that it executes OK.
6. Install and run WorkTime 4.15 or latest version. In Options|Database change database path file extension to FDB.
After successful upgrading you can delete all subfolders and files except WT4.FDB
#2. Upgrade Firebird server (for client-server setup)
Note: Make sure that you do not have or not using other software which uses Firebird RDBMS 1.5!
1. Close all client WorkTime.
2. Stop Firebird server (Control Panel applet "Firebird Server Manager")
3. Uninstall Firebird 1.5
4. Install Firebird 2.1 (see download locations here)
5. Update server WorkTime database (see #1 above)
6. Update clients - install WorkTime 4.15 or latest version. In Options|Database change database path file extension to FDB.
