How it works
Automatic computer usage tracking
Computer usage tracking is performed in the background, automatically recording
all computer related activities and time spent on each activity.
Tracking can be run invisibly to the users (no sounds, no messages, no windows
displayed).
What is recorded
WorkTime records all activities performed on a computer (launching applications,
opening documents, visiting web-sites) and the actual time spent on each activity.
"Actual" means that an application/document window is active (selected)
and there is keyboard or mouse activity.
Browsers - what is recorded: WorkTime records web-sites, URLs, page titles and
time when activity was performed. Microsoft Internet Explorer 6/7/8, Mozilla Firefox
2/3/3.5 are supported.
Monitoring, but not spying
WorkTime provides pure computer usage tracking functionality, it does
not support any spying functions that can break privacy: it does not record
screens, keystrokes, emails or chats content.
