|
General WorkTime options include a
few settings groups: Main Window view, behavior on start, startup preset
and WorkTime messages. These settings are separated on a few groups: General,
General|Main Window View, General|Startup Preset and General|Messages.
To access General options, open Options window and select Settings|General
(See Main Window, Main
Menu, Options).
General
Autostart
Launch WorkTime automatically on Windows start - WorkTime will launch
automatically on windows startup if marked.
Apply for anyone who uses this computer - WorkTime will launch automatically
on windows startup if marked for everyone.
Apply for me only (current user name) - WorkTime will launch automatically
on windows startup if marked for the current user only.

Main Window
Start WorkTime minimized - WorkTime will be minimized automatically
on start if marked.
Stay on top - WorkTime main window will be always at the front of
other windows if marked.
Transparency - WorkTime main window will be transparent if marked.

Icons
Show Taskbar icon - WorkTime taskbar icon will be displayed if marked.
Show System Tray icon - WorkTime system tray icon will be displayed
if marked.
Animated System Tray icon - WorkTime taskbar icon will be animated
if marked.
Minimize to System Tray - WorkTime main window will be minimized
to the system tray (no taskbar icon) if marked.

Transparency
Transparency (Windows 2000/XP/Vista) - WorkTime main window will
be transparent if marked.

General|Main Window View
Show User panel - User panel will be displayed on the main WorkTime
window if marked. Mark this option if you want to see and change the current
user on the main WorkTime window.
Show Project panel - Project panel will be displayed on the main
WorkTime window if marked. Mark this option if you want to see and change
the current project on the main WorkTime window.
Show Activity panel - Activity panel will be displayed on the main
WorkTime window if marked. Mark this option if you want to see and change
the current activity on the main WorkTime window.
Show Edit/Select... in drop-down lists - Edit/Select... item
will be displayed at the bottom of User, Activity and Project drop-down
lists (on the main WorkTime window) if marked. Mark this option if you want
to add/edit classifiers quickly from the selectors drop-down lists on the
main WorkTime window.
Show Online/Offline panel - Offline panel will be displayed on the
main WorkTime window if marked. Mark this option if you want to see and
change the current online/offline status on the main WorkTime window (See
Offline Mode).
Show Notify panel - Notify panel will be displayed on the main WorkTime
window if marked. Mark this option if you want to see the current tracking
state (Ex. Tracking Started, Tracking Stopped) and what is
the current process running on the main WorkTime window (Ex. Processing
Files).
Show Add Note button - Add Note button will be displayed on the main
toolbar if marked (See Main Window, Main
Menu).
Show Add Time Manually button - Add Time Manually button will be
displayed on the main toolbar if marked (See Main
Window, Main Menu).
Show Quick Statistics panels - Quick Statistics panels will be displayed
on the main WorkTime window if marked and if any panels are created in the
panels list. Mark this option if you want to see (on the main WorkTime window),
for example, the total working time and earned money for today (it can be
some other data combination: user/project/activity/workstation for today
or in total etc. - click Add button to add a new Quick Statistics panel).

- Tracking
General|Messages/Notes
Confirmation messages
Display confirmation message on WorkTime close - if marked, a confirmation
message, asking if you really want to close WorkTime, will be displayed
on WorkTime closing.
Notes
Add note on tracking start - if marked, Add note on tracking start
screen, proposing you to enter a note, will be displayed each time tracking
is started or classifier is changed.
Add note on tracking stop - if marked, Add note on tracking stop
screen, proposing you to enter a note, will be displayed each time tracking
is stopped or classifier is changed.
