WorkTime - Does Citrix track all home activity?
Q: The concern is: I work from home and access company's computer work
environment using Windows Terminal Services. Is activity on my home computer
tracked through this access?
A: No, it is not. The Citrix technology works the way so you are protected.
When companies use computer tracking software to track employees work under
Windows Terminal Services (Terminal Server, Citrix), they install tracking
software on the server side. When you work from home using Windows Terminal
Services, you don't need to worry about tracking anything about your home
computer, because all applications that you run under Windows Terminal Services
are executed on the server side, but not on your home computer. On your
home computer you only get application screens displayed, only the final
result. In other words, the Windows Terminal Services client application
only transfers application screens to your home computer, nothing is executed
locally.

How it works
Automatic tracking
Tracking is performed in the background, automatically recording what activities
are performed on a computer, when and for for long. Monitoring is performed
by a small client application; this application should be installed on the
server side.
What is recorded
WorkTime records the following computer related activities: applications usage,
documents usage, web-sites usage.
WorkTime records time spent on each activity: when each activity is actually performed.
"Actually" means that an application/document/web-page is active (selected)
and there is keyboard or mouse activity.
Web usage: WorkTime records web-sites, URLs, page titles and time.
Monitoring is not spying
WorkTime monitoring software does not record any personal information, like
keystrokes, emails and chats content or screens.
Invisible tracking
Tracking can be performed invisibly to users.
