How it works
Automatic invisible monitoring
Software monitoring is performed in the background absolutely invisibly
to the employees, automatically recording information about what software
is used, when and by who.
What is recorded
WorkTime automatically records the actual software usage and the actual
time spent on it. "Actual" means that an application is active
(selected) and there is keyboard or mouse activity. Recorded data is very
precise and accurate.
WorkTime records software name, full path and document name (if any).
Browsers - what is recorded: web-sites, URLs, page titles and time when
activity was performed. Microsoft Internet Explorer 6/7/8, Mozilla Firefox
2/3/3.5 are supported.
System, network, installation
WorkTime Corporate is a client-server system that works either in a local or distributed
network and is intended to monitor Windows-based computers. The system consists
of database, server application, administrative/reporting tool and thin tracking
clients. Client applications are installed on each computer that need to be monitored.
Monitoring results are automatically sent to the centralized location. Reports
are built using administrative tool.
Monitoring, but not spying
WorkTime is a monitoring software, it provides pure monitoring functionality,
it does not support any spying functions: it does not record screens, keystrokes,
emails or chats content. WorkTime monitoring does not break employees' privacy.
All recorded information helps to see negative trends that affect productivity,
also it helps to optimize processes in the company.
Terminal clients
WorkTime is designed to monitor software usage under Windows Terminal Services
(Remote Desktop Services) and Citrix Server (Citrix XenApp, Citrix MetaFrame
Server, Citrix Presentation Server).
Reliability/Performance/Scalability
WorkTime Corporate is designed especially for heavy loads - hundreds and thousands
of clients. WorkTime thin client is optimized the way so it requires very little
system resources. Reporting application and database are optimized to process
big volume of information.
Licensing and fees
WorkTime Corporate is licensed per seat (per tracking client). There is one time
license fee, no monthly charges. The license includes one year of technical support
and upgrades to all new WorkTime versions, however, once purchased, the license
never expires and can be used without any additional charges.
