Our goal
Our goal is to provide a high level professional service to our clients.
To achieve this, we pay a lot of attention to our clients' needs and requirements,
helping us to build a unique proposition - NesterSoft WorkTime software
continues to be a unique application on the time tracking software market
as it is one of the most straight-to-the-point, fast-to-learn and fast-to-use
(without work flow interruptions) software.
Very often we receive feedback from our users saying how they were looking
for a time tracking software like this for years!
Important note about our goals: NesterSoft still works on pure time tracking
software, and not spying software. WorkTime is not intended for spying:
it does not support key logging and screen recording and NesterSoft has
no plans in changing the main idea of WorkTime software.
1998 - Present: WorkTime history
1998: A new idea on the shareware market
The idea was to create a shareware (try-and-buy) software that helps people
to automatically track their computer time.
1990 - 1999 - these were years when the shareware market was actively growing.
Many software developers started shareware businesses at that time. The
idea of WorkTime software belongs to Kirill Nesterenko - the founder of
NesterSoft company. At this time there were no automatic time tracking software
products on the market. WorkTime was a new, fresh idea on the shareware
market. WorkTime software was officially registered in the Ukrainian Copyright
bureau.
1998 - 2000: The very first WorkTime
The very first WorkTime was primarily intended for personal usage only.
The software itself was very simple. The very first database was implemented
as a text file. NesterSoft started receiving requests from users to add
new features, including network support (tracking of multiple computers
connected to the same local network).
2000-2004: Creating more reliable and faster WorkTime
In 2000 NesterSoft decided to work on a new WorkTime. This year saw the
addition of SQL database support, network support and many features users
were asking for.
2004-2008: Continue improving WorkTime. WorkTime® - receiving a registered
trademark.
NesterSoft continues improving WorkTime by adding many useful features users
were asking for. Many features were added for self-employed contractors,
for example the Quick Work features set and more.
April 29, 2008 WorkTime became a registered trademark (WorkTime®), The
United States Patent and Trademark Office reference numbers: IC 009. US
021 023 026 036 038, IC 042. US 100 101.
2008-Present: focusing on the needs of large big companies
In 2007, as the economy began suffering, NesterSoft started receiving many
requests from large companies. Most companies had needs in tracking employee
time to discover negative trends that affect productivity. WorkTime software
helps companies to save on software, electricity and to encourage employees
to work better during difficult economic times.
